Next Sunday, 7th August at 2pm, we will be celebrating with a four course Italian menu to embrace some of the wonderful produce that Summer brings. I might make us a lovely Summer Risotto made with lemon, asparagus and mint, and then a beef dish served on a bed of freshly picked leaves with thinly sliced succulent beef. But, I can never make up my mind until the very last minute. Desserts are usually in the form of a little trio so that you can sample a few of my favourites.
The Lodge is in a beautiful setting surrounded by wild flower meadows overlooking the rolling Cambridgeshire countryside. If the weather is nice we can take our drinks out onto the terrace before we sit down together in the beautiful dining room at the Lodge House.
I'm looking forward to welcoming some new guests and seeing some old friends. Please do come and join us if you can. I will have some special wines available for us to try which can be purchased by the bottle or by the glass.
