We are celebrating Fathers’ Day in style this year by hosting A Big Friendly Do at The Shooting Lodge, Wadlow Farm, Six Mile Bottom on Sunday the 19th June at 2pm.
The Lodge is in a beautiful setting surrounded by wild flower meadows overlooking the rolling Cambridgeshire countryside. Father’s Day will be a day of remembrance for me this year as we lost my lovely Dad last September.
It will be a day of celebration though, with a four-course Italian meal, and we’ll share in some happy memories around the table. We will finish with a selection of miniature desserts, Florentines (of course) and coffee. I may have to include a miniature Christmas Pudding with brandy butter because it was my Dad’s favourite and Mum always had to make sure she made enough Christmas puds to have on high days and holidays throughout the year. If you would like to come and join in, bring you Dad, your Grandad and your children, or just bring yourself, and we’ll make sure that Fathers’ Day this year is one to remember!
